The Department of Architecture at Bilkent University invites applications for appointment at the ranks of Assistant, Associate and Full Professor for the Academic year 2012-2013. The Department is newly established within the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture, which is composed of 5 other departments: Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, Urban Planning and Landscape Architecture, Graphic Design, Communication and Design, and Fine Arts. Within this faculty composition, the department emphasizes cross-disciplinary approach to architecture scholarship, design and teaching. All faculty members are expected to engage in creative teaching, scholarly research, and service.

Qualifications:

1. Ph.D. degree in architecture or related fields
2. Strong research experience, publications in refereed/indexed international journals
3. Teaching experience and capability to teach in one of the following areas:
   • Computer applications, digital design and computation,
   • Structural design,
   • Architecture technologies, environmental systems
   • Architectural history, theory and criticism

Candidates are also expected to be able to teach architectural design studio courses.
