ALES

60 (verbal)

ALES is required for resident Turkish citizens who are applying for the MA programs. Turkish citizens who are residents of foreign countries and those applicants who are not Turkish citizens may provide GRE scores instead of ALES. Applicants for PhD programs may provide either ALES or GRE scores. ALES scores are valid for 3 years. GRE scores are valid for 5 years.

English Proficiency

TOEFL (iBT) 82 or IELTS (academic module) 6.5 with minimum 5 in each section, or KPDS (87) or ÜDS (87) or FCE C Additionally, candidates will have tests (TELP, written essay, oral interview) given by the department on the date of interview
