Registration

Registration will take place between 6 and 12 September 2011 at the Main Campus Sports Hall. Please note that students can only be registered during registration period.

The following documents are required for registration:

  • A Photocopy of your passport with the Student Visa issued by the Turkish Consulate.
  • 6 passport size photographs
  • Original lycee or high school diploma and transcript with the equivalency document issued by the Ministry of Education of Turkey indicating that your diploma is recognized as being equivalent to those offered in Turkey . For the equivalency document, please apply to the following address:

  • If you have uploaded your test score to the application, you are required to present the original Test Score sheet of SAT, YÖS, TQDK, or Qodrat Test, etc.
  • Bank receipt for the tuition fee for fall semester (6.975, - USD). The tuition fee for 2011-2012 Academic Year is 13.950, - USD payable in two equal instalments (6.975,-USD) before Fall and Spring semester registrations. You may prefer to transfer your fee in USD to the bank account number below or can pay at the registration site.

Orientation:

The Orientation Program is a one credit compulsory course called GE 100 ORIENTATION FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS which will take place between 14 - 23 September 2011. The program will help you find out more about Bilkent University , the academic procedures, course registrations and obtaining a residence permit. English Proficiency:

Bilkent is an English medium University. Therefore, applicants are required to provide a proof of their proficiency in English by presenting an IELTS (6.5 at least 5.5 from each section) or FCE (C) score. Those who do not have the mentioned scores can take the COPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English Exam) that is held in three sittings on September 13 th , 14 th and on the 16 th . Those who cannot pass these tests are required to enrol at the Bilkent Preparatory School for an intensive course of English language studies until they acquire proficiency at the required level.


Student Visa:

Please note that international students need a student visa issued by a Turkish Consulate. We recommend that you apply for a student visa immediately.
