SMOKING POLICY

According to the new statewide smoking ban, which took effect on May 19, 2008, under the "Prevention and Control of Harm from Tobacco and Tobacco Products" law, smoking will not be permitted in any closed area of the University, including faculty and staff offices and dorm rooms. Faculty housing apartments are an exception. Smokers who do not comply with the new smoke free law will be fined 62 YTL.
