Bilkent Standard Fonts
We have
prepared a few sets of fonts for Bilkent Windows users.
All of these fonts (except the symbol font sets) support
the Turkish characters.
The fonts are
grouped according to their looks. We recommend you to use
the recommended set for official documents.
You will need
to decompress the zipped font files. You can download and
install the WinZIP utility by clicking here.
- Recommended
Fonts set (recommended.zip,
59 fonts)
- Fixed
Fonts set (fonts in which all
characters have a fixed width, in contrast to proportional
fonts) (fixed.zip, 12 fonts)
- stylish
fonts (stylish.zip, 26 fonts
which you can use to create "not so
serious looking" documents),
- fancy
fonts (fancy.zip, 8 really fancy fonts),
- symbol
fonts (symbols.zip, 11 symbol
sets for musical symbols, engineering symbols, greek
letters etc.)

see what the fonts inthese packages look like...,
You can open up the
following pdf files which contain sample sheets for
all the available fonts.
You will need the
Adobe Acrobat Reader program to open PDF files. You
can download and install the Acrobat Reader by
clicking this button:
Download
the ar40eng.exe file to a temporary directory on your
PC and then run the downloaded executable. The
installation procedure is trivial.
To
install these fonts onto your Windows system...
- download the font
collection file(s) to a temporary directory,
- Unzip them (either by
PKUNZIP or the WinZIP) to the same temporary
directory,
- Click MyComputer
icon on your desktop, start the Control
Panel and select "Fonts".
- Choose "Install
New Fonts" and point to the
temporary directory where your unzipped font
files are located.
- Choose the fonts you
want to install and click "Install".
Do not forget the check the
"Copy to Fonts directory" option.
