Soffice.ini file problem Staroffice 5.1a has a very well known bug. If you need to logon to an NT server or Samba server (like the PC's in BCC labs), the first time you run StarOffice, you will get an error message indicating that the soffice.ini file cannot be found. To overcome the problem, you need to make two copies of the soffice.ini file in the Office51 directory. The names of these files should be something like bcc@soffice.ini and ug@soffice.ini These two files will eanble you to use StarOffice after logging on to Windows network(s) with a user name like "cayfer@bcc". Please note that these file names would vary depending on your Windows login domain. If these file names don't work for you, please contact BCC at hotline@bilkent.edu.tr
