STUDY ABROAD OPPORTUNITIES
for American Culture and Literature Department Students
Erasmus Exchange Partners
Erasmus exchanges are for one semester. Students receive Bilkent credit
for the courses they take at the exchange university. Students with a minimum
CGPA of 2.8 and in their second year are eligible to apply. Erasmus exchanges
offer a small scholarship for living expenses. The application process is in
February. Four students from the Department of American Culture and Literature have been on Erasmus exchanges. For further

Other Exchange Opportunities
Since 2004, students from the Department of American Culture and Literature have studied abroad at:
Students in their second year with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 are eligible. Students receive Bilkent credit for the courses they take at the exchange university. The application process is in October. Exchange programs outside the European Erasmus program are administered by the Bilkent Registrar's Office.
Incoming Exchange Students
Welcome! Since 2004, students from the University of California, the
University of Maine, and Malmö University
have taken classes in the American Culture and Literature department. All
department classes are taught in English, some by faculty from North America,
others by faculty from Turkey. We offer small class sizes, frank discussions of
the United States, and plenty of camaraderie.
