BilWIC
Bilkent University Women in Computing

BilWIC is a student community associated with the Bilkent University ACM-W Student Chapter. As the first international ACM-W Student Chapter, BilWIC plays a significant role in the improvement of the working and learning environments for female students in computing. We aim to support female students by promoting activities designed to help mentor and provide role models for female students, and by organizing seminars and conferences in order to bring students together with successful women in academic and business areas of computing. In addition, BilWIC will hold workshops to encourage primary and high school students to become familiar with computing. Our aim is to create a social environment for female students with common interests, ambitions and concerns while guiding them in the direction of computing related fields.
