FAE offers two courses—ENG 101 and ENG 102—for first-year students in the departments of Political Science, International Relations, Global International Affairs, Economics and Psychology. These are four-credit, five-hour "must" courses. Each course is based around a particular theme.
In co-operation with the Department of Philosophy, courses are offered for students in Political Science and International Relations. These aim to help students in dealing with classic texts in political philosophy.
FAE-FEASS provides ELS 405, Advanced English and Communication for IR, for new students in the 2-year IR MIAPP program. The course deals with high-level writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills and aims to familiarise students with a variety of text-types found in the discipline of International Relations.
We also have an English support course for PhD students in the department of Political Science.
In addition, we provide a course for students on the MA Education programme (ELS 403) which deals with seminal texts in the philosophy of education. Like our second-year courses, this is planned and executed in co-operation with the Philosophy department.
FAE-FEASS provides elective courses dependent on demand and teacher resourses.
