Ayşe Akçam

Ayşe Akçam graduated from TED Ankara College High School, Ankara in 1986. In 1990 she graduated with Honors from the English Language and Literature Department, Hacettepe University. She also had the second highest score of the Faculty of Letters. In 1993 she received her M.A. degree on English Language and Literature, Hacettepe U. The certificates she received from the British Council, Ankara, are: Certificate in English Language Teaching, (1999-2001), Testing for Teachers in Universities (1999-2001), Diploma of English Language Teaching, DIPELT, (2000), Certificate in the Skills of Teacher Training (2005), Diploma in English for Academic Purposes (2008). She knows basic German. She has been teaching at Bilkent University, Freshman Unit since 1994. She has worked as the Literature Unit Coordinator for one semester in 1998 and as the FAE Head of Summer School in 2006. She is interested in giving presentations on academic issues related to ELT.
