Fees
Participation at any of the plenaries and workshops /
presentations is free, but attendance is only through the submission
of a
Participation Registration form, and is on a first come
first served basis with a limited number of places available.
Timing of Presentation / Workshops
All workshops / presentations will be 50 minutes long.
Deadlines
The Workshop/Presentation Proposal form must be received by (26th
April 2006). Earlier submission would be appreciated. All Proposals
will be replied to by (16th May 2006).
The Participation
Registration form must be
received by (31st May 2006). However it is recommended that it be
sent as early as possible in order to guarantee a place.
Registrations will be replied to within a week.
Symposium Language
The Symposium will be conducted in English.
Equipment
All necessary equipment for presentations will be provided by
Bilkent University.

Location
The Symposium will be held at the Mithat Çoruh amphitheatre and
surrounding lecture rooms in the Rektörluk/Faculty of Engineering
Building on the Main Campus of Bilkent University.

Transportation
Anyone attending the conference as a participant or a presenter
is responsible for organising their own transportation. It is a
60-minute taxi ride between Ankara Esenboğa International
airport and Bilkent University. Alternatively there is a bus service
(Havaş) ($4), which runs regularly between the airport and Ankara
central bus station (AŞTI), followed either by a 10-minute taxi or a 20-minute 'dolmuş' (mini-bus) to Bilkent University
Main Campus. There is a free service bus around the campus and into
and out of Ankara city centre.

There is a wide selection of restaurants on the
Bilkent University Main Campus, open throughout the day and into the
evening.

Bilkent Center
The Bilkent Shopping Center and Ankuva Shopping Mall is a short
bus or taxi ride from the Main Campus and caters for all
domestic needs. Shops include Real, Praktiker Toys R Us, Tepe Home
and Marks and Spencer, as well as specialist shops (book shop with
English books and magazines, hairstylists, electronics shops,
clothes shops and gift shops). There are many restaurants and bars
and there is a five-screen cinema with films in both English and
Turkish.

Banking
Banking facilites are available on campus and at Bilkent Center.
Yapı Kredi Bank: Bank and ATM, ground floor of
the Rektörluk/Faculty of Engineering Building, open Monday Friday
0830 1630, tel 266 4489, 266 4367, or ext 1500/1501.
There are also ATMs of Pamukbank, Iş Bank,
Akbank, and Garanti Bank on the Main Campus.
