PRESS RELEASE
CALL FOR ENTRIES AND SPONSORS
The 8th PASO Student Film and Digital Media Festival will take
place at the Goethe Institute in Ankara, Turkey, April 24-27,
2008. As a forum for cultural exchange, the aim of this international
festival is to provide a non-competitive environment for sharing
student films and digital media works. In addition to the screenings,
instructors and industry professionals will give master classes,
seminars, and workshops on different aspects of media production.
The international workshop participants will collaborate closely
to create media projects that will be exhibited and discussed
at the end of the festival.
PASO is run by communication students from Bilkent University
with the participation of Gazi University and Baskent University
students. As a non-profit festival, there are no submission fees
and screenings are free.
All projects produced after September, 2006 and meeting the festival
specifications are welcome to apply. The deadline for submissions
is Friday, March 21, 2008.

VIDEO TRIATHLON
An endurance and creativity test at three
stages: Developing a story, shooting and editing (Pre-production,
Production and Post-production) You have only 11 hours to complete
your short film which should include a specific concept and object
assigned beforehand! All you need to do is setting up a team
of at least three people and be present at the starting point
with your camera. Inspired by modern triathlons, this workshop
requires that you preserve your energy at each stage while completing
and submiting your film for screening at destined hour.
