New Deadline for Alumni Grant is June 6, 2008!

Welcome to the Graduate School of Education at Bilkent University

The Graduate School of Education opened in 2000 with a teacher education program offering a master's degree, dedicated to producing well qualified high school teachers in five subject areas: biology, English, history, mathematics, Turkish language and literature.  Since then we have graduated almost two hundred teachers. Most of these alumni were appointed on graduation to teach in prestigious schools in Turkey, and many have since gone on to take their place as leaders in schools, and are already making contribution to the development of education in Turkey.
 

ALUMNI VOICES

Attending the GSE program was like reaching a turning 

point in my life. It allowed us to grow in so many ways by

providing high quality training experiences and professional 

academic faculty. Teaching biology to high school students 

is an academic challenge that allows me to indulge in the 

things I like and GSE led me along the right path. 

I'm grateful for the gifts this program has presented to me 

like developing self-discipline, motivation and professional

knowledge. Now I'm as enthusiastic as I want to be and 

I'm able to convey this enthusiasm to my students to allow 

them to become confident and creative in their approach to the subject.
