Preliminary Information

Dates and the program of the excursions scheduled as part of the overall organization of the IAOSEH Congress to be held at Bilkent are as follows. We urge our participants to make their travel arrangements accordingly.

Planned Excursions / Planlanan Geziler

Tour to Ankara Citadel (June 19th, Thursday afternoon)

There will be a visit to the Ankara Citadel, where our participants will visit various historical places and museums, including the Eski Anadolu Medeniyetleri Müzesi, one of the richest of its kind in Turkey, Haci Bayram Mosque and the remains of Augustus Temple, Rahmi Koç Museum (with its terrace where you can also have a cup of coffe & tea),  as well as other Hans and Konaks within and without the Citadel.

Two-day trip to Kapadokya (June 21-22, Saturday-Sunday)

During this trip we will visit a selection of the most outstanding features, and historical places of the regions with some refreshments and fun. Part of the expenses of this trip will be covered by us from the participation fees, and the other part, which might be the price of the hotel over night, with a reasonable price, by you. Details will be clarified soon.

For those who wish to save time from travels, we would like to inform you that there is a regular flight of Turkish Airlines from Kayseri airport (half an hour away from Kapadokya) to Istanbul every Sunday evening at 20.25. A bus can be arranged from Kapadokya to the Kayseri Airport for those who would like to fly to Istanbul straight from Kapadokya on Sunday evening.

Please make sure to let us know as soon as possible whether you will be participating in the Kapadokya trip.
