Language Instruction

In addition to the regular language courses (including French, German, Italian, and Spanish) offered by the University, the Department of History offers instruction in languages necessary for students to undertake research in their chosen field.

AHMED SİMİN

 

He received his  M.A. degree from Ankara University, Department of Political Sciences in 1986 and his Ph.D. in management from the University of Baghdad in 1994. Before coming to the Department of History at Bilkent University in 1999, he worked for two years at Ege University, later offered courses in the Department of Economy and Business Administration, Baghdad University and in the period 1994-1996 was part-time employed in the College of Languages (Department of Turkology) at the Baghdad University.

ANOOSHIRVAN MOHAMMADZADEH MIANDJI

 

Anooshirvan M. Miandji is the author of Modern Farsi ( Mehran Publications, 1994, Tabriz, Iran), Digital Conversation Dictionary ( Palme Publications, 1996, Ankara, Turkey), Beginner's Persian (Hippocrene Books, 1998, New York, USA) and Farsi-English/ English Farsi (Persian) Concise Dictionary (Hippocrene Books, 2003, New York, USA). A native Farsi speaker, he has a language certificate from the University of Michigan and is fluent in several Middle Eastern languages. He is a pharmacist and studying in medicinal chemistry graduate program.
