Scholarly talks


In Fall 2017, Dr. Özkan Kılıç gave a talk on “The Role of Letter Frequency on Eye Movements in Sentential Pseudoword Reading.” Dr. Kılıç is currently an Assistant Professor of Computer Engineering at Yıldırım Beyazıt University, and an affiliated faculty at the Department Cognitive Science at METU. 


In Spring 2017, Yasin Çiftçi, a doctoral student at METU, was invited to present his phenomenological research, and show students how to use MAQCDA, a qualitative data analysis software.

Conference presentations

This year, three students, Kamile Kandıralı, Tuğba Bostancı, Esma Kot attended TESOL 2017 and presented their MA TEFL thesis, March 21-24, 2017.

Tuğba Bostancı also attended the ELF 2017 in Helsinki, Finland and presented her master’s thesis research, June 12-15, 2017.

Şeyma Kökçü and Güneş Tunç presented their master’s thesis research in GlobELT 2017, in Ephesus, Selcuk, Izmir, May 16-18, 2017.
