  1. `If there is moral responsibility, then there is freedom. But there is no freedom. Therefore, there is no moral responsibility.' Is this a good argument? Why?
  2. Does utilitarianism claim anything which common-sense morality would dispute?
  3. `Utilitarianism requires us to be as strictly impartial as a disinterested and benevolent spectator. But every act of benevolence is a violation of impartiality.' Discuss.
