“ Integrating Design Thinking ”
Basically the purpose of a design act should be fulfilling the needs
of the user, it should be practical in that sense, to allow the ‘consumer’
a positive experience at hand. An interdisciplinary approach is the
keyword for non-sequential work structures, there should be different
profession, specific professions and meritocracy.
Because of the circulation of money, Design Education is now being
used in Business curriculum. Competitiveness raises the quality,
gradually. It gives designers the passion to produce more qualified products.
Design visually affect people, then from visual to communication to culture,
hopefully making life valuable. I agree with sharing experience and
knowledge but I don’t agree with sharing ideas among competitors
and designers—because ideas are different. Technology develops at a speed
that neither the market nor the human being is capable of fully adjusting to,
but there is a rejection of the nature behind this. The concept and content
of the “desktop” of the computer is an interface. The use of visual tools and
representations provides competence and challenge in design process.
It is necessary to have different disciplines involved in problem solving.
To integrate the knowledge of design into curricula other than design
education increases the quality of jobs and it also affects the market,
having too many “designers” but less job for Designers. We don’t have to be
designers in order to have knowledge of design, or a physicist to know about
Physics, basically this gives one a wider perspective for thoughts and actions.
We need to maximise our design agility because generations are calling
for a quicker understanding of a common language. What can be a product ?
When innovators create something they usually do not focus on designers,
but on the whole target of users. Today’s problems are multi-faced, because
everyone solve problems in their own way and own point of view. Without
knowledge it is impossible to be succesful, knowledge is an important part
of the design puzzle.
