The aim of "framed reflections" is to explore the keywords virtual, actual, participation, interaction and collaboration which form the basis of digital culture. The goal is to reflect the thoughts, ideas, etc. of participants successively onto a framed book which normally would be an object of contemplation.

There are two main transformations in the project, the first one is to frame a note book (which normally notes and memorandums are written in daily life), hence make it an object for contemplation. As the note book is framed, its closure is indicated. The frame shows a finished work. However, since the note book is empty and the entries are reflected by the use of an overhead projector, it adds the system its characteristic for the second transformation. The framed note book becomes an active agent in which the participants express their thoughts and ideas successively. The framed notebook then becomes a platform which is in continuous flux.
