Profile

Andreas Treske is a filmmaker, media artist, and author, writing about online video aesthetics and culture. He graduated from the University of Television and Film, Munich, where he also taught film and video post-production. International exhibitions of interactive media works, various short films screened on international film festivals, his co-directed feature-length documentary “Takim Böyle Tutulur” played in Autumn 2005 in more than 50 Turkish cinemas. In 2008 picture editor of the feature-length cinema documentary “Mustafa”, in 2016 he co-produced the feature length documentary "Black, Not Gray: Ankara Rocks!". He is the chair of the Department of Communication and Design at I.D. Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey. Since 2008 he is engaged in the Video Vortex Network.
