Two professors from Bilkent University have been recognized by The Scientific and Technical Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) for 2012.

Prof. Dr. Tayfun Özçelik of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics is the winner of the prestigious TÜBİTAK Science Award of 2012. The Science Award is the highest scientific award given by TÜBİTAK every year.

Asst. Prof. Katja Doerschner from the Department of Psychology has been awarded by the TÜBİTAK Incentive Award for 2012. TÜBİTAK Incentive Award is awarded to scientists, who are under the age of 40 and who have proved to have the necessary qualifications to provide outstanding contributions to science in the future at an international level.
