Bilkent University Department of English Language Teaching invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position beginning September 2023. The position includes the following duties and responsibilities:

About MA in TEFL program: Established in 1988, the program is designed for practising and aspiring teachers with a scholarly mindset. It aims to establish a theoretical and practical understanding of linguistic, pedagogical, and educational foundations. It intends to develop essential skills to conduct research for exploring issues, and expanding knowledge in the field. Over 35 years, hundreds of teachers from around the country and region have successfully completed the MA in TEFL program, and many of them are holding leadership, and/or academic positions at reputable institutions.

- teach a range of graduate level classes mainly in the MA in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) program,
- conduct research, demonstrating a strong commitment to excellence in scholarly activities in the area of bilingual education
- advise graduate students, and supervise theses
- provide service to the program, profession and university
Required Qualifications and Experience include
- a doctoral degree in Bilingual Education
- a qualified teacher status
- an established record of scholarship and teaching in the area of bilingual education
- experience in thesis advising
- experience in graduate level teaching
- experience in teaching in a bilingual context
