1. Online Application
- Start your online application through the university's application portal. First-time users will be prompted to create an account.
- Application deadline (Fall 2026 intake): June 7, 2026.
2. Transcripts & Bachelor’s Degree
- Upload current and official transcript(s).
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5/4.00 (or equivalent) is required.
3. Required Scores
English Proficiency
Submit one of the following official English proficiency scores:
- TOEFL iBT: 87 (TOEFL iBT Home Edition and TOEFL MyBest Score results are not accepted)
- IELTS Academic: 6.5 (minimum 5.5 in each section; IELTS Academic One Skill Retake (OSR) results are not accepted)
- Bilkent Proficiency Exam (PAE): C (valid for two years after graduation and must still be valid at the time of registration)
- All English proficiency scores must be valid at the time of registration.
GRE/ALES
Submit valid ALES or GRE scores as follows:
- Turkish citizens: ALES (Verbal) at least 60 (valid for 5 years and must be valid at the time of registration)
- Non-Turkish citizens: GRE General Test with a minimum combined score of 295 and Analytical Writing score of at least 3.5 (GRE General Test at Home results are not accepted; valid for 5 years and must be valid at the time of registration).
4. References
- Submit at least two letters of recommendation: (Referees submit their letters through the online application system)
5. Statement of Purpose
- Submit a 400-500 word statement of purpose outlining your academic and professional background, reasons for applying, research interests, career plans and fit with the program.
6. Other Documents
- CV or resume
- Optional supporting documents (such as certificates or other relevant achievements), if applicable
